Mundford lies along the southern bank of the River Wissey with instant access to the A134 and A1065 main roads and only 8 miles north of the town of Thetford. Mundford is a village with well above average shopping facilities, and catering for a wide spectrum of social functions in a well-appointed village centre.
Parts of Mundford, particularly the old flint cottages are in the conservation area near the village green. The local farms are mainly given over to the growing of sugar beet and barley and the rearing of poultry and pigs.
The towns of Thetford 7 miles away and Brandon some 4 miles away are within commutable distance and offers a larger array of amenities.
