Bressingham is situated on the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk, a few miles outside Diss on the A1066 road to Thetford.
The parish contains a number of scattered areas of which the largest are the part of Bressingham located on High Road, and Bressingham Common located along Common Road. Both areas are separated and surrounded by mainly large open fields. The area along High Road comprises mainly of bungalow developments, several old buildings of note, two farms and most of the parish community facilities.
Bressingham Common contains a greater mixture of housing types, three farms and an engineering works, and includes some development along Bressingham Road which is located in the parish of Roydon . Both are distinguished by many trees and hedgerows and are afforded views across theWaveney Valley.
