Brandon

Brandon is a small town 6 miles form the town of Thetford on the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk.  Brandon can be found set beside the Little Ouse River and surrounded by forest and heath land.

For centuries Brandon was the home of Britain’s oldest industry – flint knapping, this means that much of the town is also built from flint and it provided decorative building materials and also gun flints for firearms.

The Little Ouse flows through Brandon to the larger historic town of Thetford and although any commercial traffic has long ceased, canal boats can still occasionally be seen negotiating holiday makers along its banks.
